Meet Donnie Barber, the captain of Good Ship Brewing & Eatery!
A proud Hopewellian with a big heart for his hometown, Donnie is turning a longtime dream he shared with his late father, Jesse L. Barber, into something special for the community. Their vision? A place where everyone can relax, laugh, enjoy good music, and make memories over good food, great drinks, and even better company.
With deep roots in Hopewell’s history and guided by faith, family, and hard work, Donnie pours his heart into everything he does—whether it’s building Good Ship from the ground up, spending time with his wife and three kids, or giving back to the community that raised him and the place he calls home.
Good Ship Brewing & Eatery is more than a business—it’s Donnie’s way of honoring his father’s legacy and helping Hopewell’s future set sail.
